1. Who we are
Sonneveld Communicatie & Advies, established in the Netherlands and trading as Tankmapper, is the data controller for personal data processed through this service.
2. What we collect and why
- Account data (email, name, credentials, or your Google/Apple ID with social login) — to create your account and give you access. Basis: performance of the contract.
- Vehicle and trip data (licence plate, fuel type, tank size, saved addresses, planned trips) — to calculate routes and fuel costs and show your saved items. Basis: performance of the contract.
- Subscription data (plan, status, end date, Stripe customer reference) — to manage Premium access. Basis: performance of the contract.
- Support messages — to answer your question. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser data, error logs, usage telemetry) — for security, fraud prevention and product improvement. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Advertising data — the free version may show ads (via Google AdSense) and, with your consent, we measure how ads perform and how often visitors plan a route (Google Ads). Non-essential advertising and analytics cookies are set only with your consent. Basis: consent.
We do not process payment card details ourselves; these are handled by Stripe as our payment of Record.
3. Who we share data with
- Hosting and database providers (processors) running our service;
- Stripe as our payment processor for payments, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing;
- Public data sources queried for routing and price information (such as vehicle registry, routing and map services) — no account data is sent to them;
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google (AdSense and Google Ads), only with consent;
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
4. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists and up to 30 days after deletion. Billing and accounting records are kept for as long as tax law requires (seven years in the Netherlands). Logs are kept for up to twelve months. After that we delete or anonymise the data.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account (including vehicles, addresses and trips) yourself in the Garage. We respond within one month. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access control in our database and least-privilege access.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in, language and theme. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only with consent; you can manage preferences in your browser settings.
